I'm Santrupti!

I've been a designer for 3.5 years and have worked on all kinds of products ranging from B2B, B2C and my designs have touched over 200k+ people per month.

I've been into computers since I was in second grade and the first engineer in my family got a computer — I was using everything on it including paint, qbasic and windows movie maker. Everything you could possibly do in a computer I did. I studied electronics and communication in college and loved matlab and VLSI. I want to be on my computer fiddling with things all the time — especially code in unlikely places — using code to make art, music, analysing & plotting my feelings. I also play a lot of video games and lift weights in my free time.

I find myself being more and more fascinated by people these days — how communities form and how people stay close together for years.

What I'm looking for in my next role

Growth

I want to have better conversations about product — work with smart people that love their jobs. Growth happens in many ways but more often accelerated growth happens in places where people feel safe to experiment, get acknowledged for their work and work with people who they like being around. There is a lot of subjectivity to who one might like being around but I find that when people feel seen, heard & understood — they are able to bring their best selves to work.

Long term commitment

I want to stick around and grow with a business, understand what it takes to be responsible for a product long term, what truly understanding your users feels like overtime when you keep releasing things that work. I feel like the satisfaction to being in close proximity with a product, seeing it stumble and succeed is irreplaceable.

Work I find interesting + Believe in

Working on a product and its features I truly believe in. Scope to take on more work and do the main work, the side work to keep the machine well oiled and running — like design systems — and getting a holistic view of the work.
